A few weeks ago some friends of ours gave us a bed for Gavin. We weren't planning on having him sleep in it for a few more months but he got so excited about having a big boy bed, that we couldnt keep him out of it. The first time Jared took a nap with Gavin in the bed and from then on he took right to it.
Sometimes if he isnt ready for a nap yet he comes marching out of the room and smiles at me. At night he goes right down like he always did. I check on him a few times during the night to make sure he is still in the bed. He is a restless sleeper so I find he has flipped over to the other end of the bed. But we havent had any problems with him falling out. The fun part for him is that the bed has a bunch of drawers and a cubby to climb into and hide.
Whats fun for us is the little footsteps in the morning as he gets out of his bed and runs to our room to jump in bed and wake us up.
With all the rain we had we got some pretty awesome puddles. So Gavin suited up for his outdoor adventure and went for a swim. He had a great time making waves in the almost pond, and hopped from one puddle to the next and got soaking wet. And when he was done came right into the house a got it all over. Nice eh!
With all the patience in the world, Gavin is attempting to put a shirt on by himself. The shirt is inside-out. He tried for quite awhile but never got very far with it. It was really cute to watch him trying to be independent.

Every parent knows that tantrums are inevitable. But its fun to capture the image so that down the line we can show Gavin what he looked like throwing a tantrum. In these pics his tantrum is about.......well, I actually have no idea why he decided to throw this particular tantrum. He just wakes up grumpy and cranky these days and throws tantrums about nothing. 
The creativity bug has bitten and I needed an outlet. I attacked our downstairs hallway and decided that Gavins door to his room needed some flair. So I painted his name and attached some bugs. His room is the bug theme so it goes quite well. I think it turned out cute.
