Trunk or treating at the church party. Zombie Dad, Woodland fairy Mom, and of course the Amazing Spiderman.
Of course he hasn't eaten any of his candy yet. What made you think he did?

My pumpkin patch baby

What would halloween be without a pumpkin? I got my box of paints and let Gavin paint his scary pumpkin.
He loves to play with mommies paints because he gets to be like mom and paint stuff too.
Such an artist.

Halloweeny

My big helper and I made some red velvet halloween cupcakes for my young women. He is actually pretty good at baking. He added all the ingredients himself. I helped him crack the eggs of course. He even used the mixer to mix the batter.
And what would baking be if we didnt get to lick the bowl. I guess you could say he got caught red handed. hehehehehe
And the final product are some cute halloween cupcakes. And what fun would it be if we didnt get to sample the goodies.
Yummmmmm!!

Evening at the fair

Checking for a baby walaby. The other walaby had a baby in the pouch so he thought there was a chance this one could to. So Gavin went to investigate.
The deer loved Gavin. They got a little too personal for his liking when it started to suck on his earlobe. That's what he gets for being the perfect hight and looking good enough to suck on.
Enjoying a delicious chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and m&m's. Yummmmm

Gavin's 2nd Birthday party

Sorry I'm late with this post. Gavin had his 2nd birthday on June 19th at Shakeys Pizza. We had about 30 friends join us for some good pizza and mojos. Gavin had a great time turning two. He had an awesome truck themed party.
Just making sure it's not really dirt on the cake.
He got some Thomas the train toys and trucks trucks trucks. Also a cow bowling set and a swim outfit.
He didnt hesitate ripping open the packages to see what was inside.
The awesome truck cake decorated by his mother. The trucks had lights and sound which made it even more cool.
Party Party Party

Gavins room

I recently painted Gavins room an underwater theme. Complete with Shark, octopus, treasure chest, seaweed and fish. When the lights go off there are some glow in the dark stars everywhere so the room looks cool day and night.

Yes there is a sleeping child being mauled by an octopus.

Missouri

April 4th-11th, Gavin and I took a trip to Missouri to visit family. It was a great time and we where sad to go. Gavin made fast friends with Tex, the big dog, and loved to go in and out of the doggie door. Grandma got out a really cool fire engine rocker that he loved to push and pull around te house and of course ride in it.

We took a little trip to Far West to visit some church sites. We saw where the four cornerstones of the temple where placed. This pic is of grandma, Kenzie, Braden, Dustin, Gavin, and some dog, with Joseph Smith. (He's the bronze guy.)
We also took a trip to liberty jail and to Independence, to see more church sites. It was really neat to see how the church first started out.

Hike Thru Bonelli Park

Gavin and I took a hike with the young Womens group to Bonelli Park. He loved it because there was a lot of dirt. I had to carry him the whole time because he wouldnt move. He found a little lady bug and tried to hide in some weeds. He was very hyper that day and I was hoping this would help him burn off some energy. It didnt!

The latest

Im too lazy to go get the camera and download more pics. So you get an update without pics.
Our latest exciting thing is Gavin has a sandbox. He loves it. He sits in it and plays with his trucks. He throws the sand all over the backyard. I assume it will be an empty box before too long.
He is really into big trucks now. Just loves to see them everywhere. He will point out every big truck he sees.
And the number two is a favorite. He wont say any other number but will give you two of everything and shows you two fingers.
I bought Gavin a potty to see if we could get him going on that. He pees in it most of the time but when it comes to number 2 theres not a chance. He is very private and does not want me to be near when he has to do business. So its not working out so well. I think maybe Ill give him a little more time to mature. Theres no rush in getting him to grow up so fast right?!

A Fun Day

Gav and I met up with some friends and we all took a train ride to see Dad (Jared) at his new office in Downtown LA. Gavin had a really fun time on the train. He thought it was cool he could sit in a big person chair without a carseat and actually go somewhere. He had a lot of fun with Abby and Aiden.
We got to the office which is on the 58th floor and looked around at the view. Pretty cool. We then went out for Asian food, very yummy, and talked. Gavin ran around like crazy and tore parts off the door at the restaurant.
He was laughing pretty hard at the office when Aiden was looking at him thru the back of the chair. It is a screen backed chair and Gav could see Aiden thru it. It was pretty funny to see him laughing so hard.
We then took the train back and Gavin had exhausted himself. He fell asleep before we made it home. But that's ok cause he had a big fun day going and visiting Dad. We will have to do it again sometime.
